TNT Heating & Cooling is a small family business operated by Tom Pierz who is very active in the South Lyon community with church services and his sons high school hockey occupying what little free time he has. Tom started at 18 years old, helping his Father who also owned a heating and cooling business " I was the person who learned and made ductwork for the new construction jobs and learned various things on how to run the business along with parts ordering. ". A few years later he specialized in residential furnace and air conditioner replacement. At the turn of the century, Tom started to do service and repair work actively. "I was taught by a former boss to start from the ground and work your way up to be well rounded in this field and be a valuable asset to a company, and I took that to heart." Along the way, Tom went through the pipefitters apprenticeship program which selects only a handful of the most promising applicants out of 1000's of hopeful applicants. Tom has worked on some of Detroit's most significant commercial projects, and because of his honesty and integrity he continues to get requests for residential furnace, air conditioner, and water heater replacements. So Tom has come full circle, as the owner of TNT heating & Cooling and his 18-year-old-son is also learning the family business.
